Party With Purpose To Host 8th Annual Hoboken 5K, Kid’s Fun Run and After Party on July 17, 2012

July 10, 2012 – Hoboken, NJ - Come join us for the Party With Purpose 8th Annual Hoboken 5K, Kids’ Fun Run and After Party slated for July 17, 2012.
Party With Purpose (PWP), an official not-for-profit organization, continues to grow its marquee event to raise funds for two local after school programs—the Hoboken Boys & Girls Club and Jubilee Center. The race is rated by USA Today Collegiate as being one of the Top 6 summer charity races in the country and raised close to $50,000 and attracted over 1,300 runners last year.
“Year after year, we continue to be thrilled by the increase in turnout for our main event that gives back to such great local causes. We look forward to seeing the community - of all ages - on race day and appreciate all of the support from our sponsors, participants and volunteers that make the event possible.” said Scott Delea, Founder of Party With Purpose.
The race is great for all levels of runners, from beginner to advanced, and is USA Track & Field sanctioned. Walkers are welcome, too! All will enjoy the gorgeous race course with a backdrop of New York City. Prizes will be awarded to the top three overall male and female finishers as well as the top three male and female finishers for each age group. Teams are now being accepted, so sign up—with your friends, family, or neighbors—and earn various gift certificates from local restaurants and bars. The 5K will cost $30 and $35 on race day. We encourage you to sign up early to secure a spot and a goody bag. Early bag pick up will be at Fleet Feet (604 Washington Street) on July 15th from 12-5pm and July 16th from 10-9pm.
The fun doesn’t end at the finish line! Join us for the After Party celebration on the bank of the Hudson River where you’ll enjoy live entertainment by Dancing Goats and delicious food and drinks.
