Video Contest Aims to Educate NJ Youth on Vaccination

The Partnership for Maternal and Child Health of Northern New Jersey is collaborating with the New Jersey Department of Health to launch a statewide video contest focused on the importance of youth vaccinations. All Hoboken youth between the ages of 11-18 are eligible to participate.

The campaign, Protect Me With 3, challenges NJ pre-teens and teens to create short educational videos that motivate their peers to receive one of three vaccines—Tdap, MCV4 or HPV. The contest is designed to promote creativity and expand knowledge of these devastating diseases so our youth can make more educated decisions about their personal health.

Submissions for the Protect Me With 3 video contest are being accepted now through October 29, 2012. Each video submission must focus on one of the three diseases and contain 3 to 5 facts provided in the Vaccine PSA toolkit. The Grand Prize winner will receive an iPad®3 and chance to have their video aired on television.

For more information regarding eligibility, video submission guidelines and contest rules, please visit www.protectmewith3.com.

Entrants are encouraged to tweet their participation, using #protectmewith3.
