14-year-old Caught Mid-Burglary in Hoboken
The teenager was in the middle of stealing $50 worth of liquor when he was caught.
A 14-year-old Jersey City boy was caught while allegedly burglarizing a Hoboken apartment, police said.
The burglary took place on Monday night, around 10:15 p.m. at 715 Madison St., according to police reports.
The boy was caught after a 32-year-old resident in the same building saw the 14-year-old on his balcony, holding two bottles of liquor, police said.
The Hobokenite was at home with his wife and infant daughter when he heard thumping noises on his balcony. When he looked out the window and was face-to-face with the alleged robber, police said.
The two bottles of liquor—worth a combined $50—were allegedly taken from the apartment on a higher floor.
The Hoboken-man called the police and the 14-year-old was arrested and charged with theft, police said.

Crime in Hoboken is becoming rampant in Hoboken. More like New York every day in every way. Heard that there was a riot at a downtown bar very recently that required calling the Secaucas police for help. True? False? or just not being reported.

that is true, but not Secaucas, JC and PAPD were called. The solution is simple, vote for anyone but Dawn and this town goes back to normal. Thanks to Dawn, half her friends are being sued for defamation, great right?

Really? in the late early, mid and late 1990's Hoboken was a dump. When I first started coming here anything west of Willie McBride's was ghetto and high crime. I suspect this little thief is related to an old time Old Guard supporting born and raised hoboken resident....

He was probably trying to raise money for tuition at Stevens Cooperative. That place is expensive. My lawsuit better turn around soon or I'll be the next one stealing booze.
