Ladson walked into police headquarters on Wednesday night, police said, with the words "I heard you were looking for me." Police said that Ladson didn't admit he stole the radio car on Saturday morning, following riots in the Hoboken Housing Authority.

Police said that Ladson wouldn't answer any questions on Wednesday and wanted to talk to his lawyer first, police said.

... This should hopefully make some of us who were so quick to brand everyone in the projects as bad people, reserve judgement . This person was not a resident.

He was allegedly part of the group of 20 that were involved in the fight. Not everyone in the projects are bad, just a significantly higher percentage of people who do not live on the dime of the government. I guess the crime statistics that show that section of town having a higher crime rate are wrong.
Make them market rate apartments and I guarantee the crime rate drops.

It sounds like this suspect is really taking the police for a ride with his denials, and trying to drive them crazy. Clutch move that they put the brakes on this hood leaving HQ instead of engaging in idle chatter and letting him steal away into the night. I relish that they also peppered him with assault charges. I don't mean to horn in, but they should form a steering committee to get this investigation in gear and not have it be so truncated.
