Coming up This Week in Hoboken
The start of the new year, and more -- let us help you plan your week.
This week marks the end of 2012 and the start of 2013. And for many, the end of vacation.
Let us help you plan the first week of the year.
Monday night is New Year's Eve, when Hoboken will surely be a big party. If you're still looking for a place to ring in the new year, take a look at this list.
PATH service will be round the clock on New Year's Eve. The rest of the week, trains will run between 5 a.m. and 10 p.m., every day.
Tuesday, on new year's day, City Hall will be closed — as will other municipal buildings — and many businesses and offices are closed as well. Hoboken's public schools are also closed.
Wednesday, it's back to business. Hoboken's school children will resume classes. The City Council is meeting at 7 p.m. in City Hall on Wednesday night, for the first council meeting of 2013.
On the agenda for Wednesday are multiple professional services contracts, most of which law firms. Only eight members are currently serving on the city council, former Councilwoman Carol Marsh's seat remains vacant for now.
