Don't Leave Your iPhones Unattended in Hoboken

At least three iPhones were stolen this weekend in Hoboken.

Note to self: don't lose sight of your iPhone while in Hoboken.

At least three people had their iPhones stolen between Friday night and Sunday night, according to police reports.

On Friday night, around 11:30 p.m., a 25-year-old Maplewood woman who was having a conversation with a friend at Mulligan's, noticed her iPhone 4 missing from her coat which she had placed on the back of her seat, according to police reports.

While the phone was turned off, she could still use the GPS on the device, police said. The phone was in a Costco parking lot in Union County, according to the police report, but had been turned off.

Around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, a 28-year-old Hoboken woman had her iPhone stolen from her purse at 16 Hudson Place, according to police.

A few hours later around 4:30 a.m., a 31-yeard-old Somerset man had his iPhone stolen after he placed it on the diner's counter, according to police reports. Police said the man went to use the bathroom and found his phone missing when he returned.
