Former School Board Candidate Arrested
An altercation early Friday morning left four people arrested.
Former School Board candidate Clifford Godfrey was arrested at Second and Washington Streets early Friday morning after allegedly assaulting a woman in a Hoboken club, according to a police report about the matter.
According to the police report, an altercation between Godfrey and a 31-year-old woman started inside 200 Lounge on Friday, around 1 a.m. when Godfrey allegedly pushed the woman and slapped her in the face, according to police. According to the report, Godfrey allegedly pushed the woman to the ground and prevented her from getting up.
Godfrey, who ran unsuccesfully in April's school board election, already had an open traffic warrant out of Newark, according to the report. He was arrested for simple assault, endangering an injured victim and disorderly conduct, according to the police report.
The police report stated that the victim suffered from a panic attack after the incident, but that she refused further medical care.
According to the report, Godfrey was approached by police after they were called about the incident, but kept walking when asked to stop. Two men Godfrey was with, Christopher Salcedo, 21, from Linden and Kristerph Adams, 20, from Newark, started interfering, according to police, and said they would take Godfrey home. Police said the men were ordered to stay out of it.
According to the report, Adams and Salcedo then “became disorderly” and were arrested. Both were charged with failure to disperse and resisting arrest, according to the report.
In the report, police said that Godfrey became disorderly too, "shouting offensive comments" at the officers.
According to the report, police also found a knife on Salcedo and he was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon.
A 26-year-old Hoboken resident, Stephanie LeBlanc, then also became involved, according to the police report, and told police that she wanted to take Godfrey’s property and refused to leave the scene. LeBlanc, too, was arrested by officers and taken to police headquarters, according to the police report.

A little birdie told me that as more is known about the events of the evening, the "story" as recited above will get ugly. Remember how Ian Sacs was "arrested" for assault? Stay tuned.

Seriously? If this was a set up, he should sue.

If I ever stopped believing in the justice system and the idea that you're innocent before being proved guilty, this situation put the nail in the coffin. Stay tuned folks the truth will come to light

I think the spinmeisters are having to really reach on this one. "Innocent before being proved guilty'' seems to apply only to your political friends and not to your political enemies. So hypocritical.

Actually Cassandra, I'd have asked him to step down from the BOE just for going to that cesspool of a lounge. Forget the altercation, nobody w/ more than 2 brain cells or an ounce of class goes there.

Michael Russo wasn't arrested - yet. The Jersey Journal put the question to law enforcement. They declined to give him a bill of good health.
So that's that. The case is not closed. So Mike Russo has not been given any bill of good health from the Feds.

A traffic warrant you twit. For all you know, he forgot to pay a speeding ticket or take some online remedial drivers ed course (true story - I have a relative who ended up having a suspended license b/c the court, his lawyer and the DMV did not tell him he had to take some online course and he didn't find out his license was suspended until after getting pulled over for having a passenger w/ no seatbelt on in the front seat). I am not going to get upset over a TRAFFIC WARRANT unless he is insured w/ my insurance company and gets better rates than I do w/ my spotless driving record.

Yes, Passkey, I see a pattern. Regardless of which one of your names you're using you like this "anyone else see a pattern here" construction. You have forced that square peg into a round hole, but whatever. You like repeating it. Here are 3 times when you did it as Whiteshirt. Do you see a pattern here?

Please do think about getting a new bit or a least tailoring this worn out one to the circumstances at hand. Godfrey's actions after hours in a pub do not constitute KF being anything.
.
Follow-up question. Why'd you stop being Whiteshirt? Especially if you're just going to drag out the same tired schtick?

Find me one place where I defended the guy other than to say he should sue if he was set up or it is a BS complaint you twit. I already said he should step down if he had been elected just for going to that cesspool of a lounge where people w/ no judgment and rocks for brains hang out. That place is trouble (as is a couple other cesspools) and probably should be shut permanently.
And you don't know me very well if you don't think I'd call you a twit to your face. I can't stand stupid or disingenuous people. Personally I think this whole thread is BS and has nothing to do w/ anything that matters in this town. It certainly is not an argument for supporting the disreputable cast of characters who won the last BOE election on the promise of more waste and higher taxes with the help of the usual corrupt cast of characters who trade votes for favors and cash. I'd have voted for a spatula before voting for any of them.
Now go back to doing something productive why don't ya and go commit some good old fashioned voter fraud.

Anyone else see a pattern here? It goes as follows: A) reformers get caught being anything but open, transparent, competent, etc... B) reformer bloggers put out attacks belittling the source of the initial report or ad hominem attacks on anyone who criticizes them C) Said controversy recedes, and reformers wins points among its committed followers for standing up to the forces "assailing them".
Don't bother complaining about this post--- if you stop making personal attacks on people (real or imagined) you'll never see this post again. So, the ball is in your court.

And the twit copies and pastes his normal nonsense that he posts week after week, month after month in every thread even remotely related to the BOE. Meanwhile, he supports people who lie, cheat, steal, buy votes, solicit bribes, commit fraud and waste taxpayer money.
Sorry, been seeing your nonsense for months and you never stop. You just switch screen names, wash, rinse and repeat the same BS.
