Four Girls Rob Hobokenite's Apartment

Police blotter.

Careful whom you bring home, boys.

A 29-year-old Hoboken man met four girls on the corner of Thirteenth and Washington—after walking out of the Madison Bar and Grill on new year's eve—and started chatting with them, according to a police report. After chatting for a while and exchanging numbers, he invited them back to his downtown Park Avenue apartment, police said.

As he made out with the girl he had given his number to around 1:30 a.m. on Jan. 1, the other three roamed the apartment, police said.

Unbeknownst to the man—who told police he was highly intoxicated that night—the three other women took an iPod, an external hard drive, an iPhone charger, a lose change jar, a pair of silver cufflings, a timex watch, a bottle of cologne as well as house- and mailbox keys from the apartment, according to the report. All the stolen items belonged to the man's roommate who wasn't home at the time, police said.

After about 20 minutes, the girls left, telling the man they were just going for pizza and would be back soon, police said, but the girls never returned.

Was it a two way exchange of phone numbers and if so was the number he got fake? If he got a real number then it should be easy to track the "decoy" girl and offer her a deal to roll on her friends. That would also qualify her for the Darwin Awards

I hope there is nothing on the external HD incriminating, would hate to see a National Lampoons European Vacation stunt pulled here. For a guy who was highly intoxicated , he sure remembers the time, where they met, the amount of girls he had over and the fact they were going out for pizza. Surprised he didn't recall what gold and silver closed out at that day.

Why exactly is this newsworthy? He invites multiple strangers to his apartment...I think that lesson was taught in kindergarten if not at home.

Why did they steal his roommates things only and not the complainant? Just seems real shady that you take 4 girls home and things are missing from your flat mate and not you. Having lived in roommate situations in the past, when I am not home, my door is locked. Amazing the a guy brings home 4 girls and they rob the other guy only and they don't take from the guy that is home and bombed from here to Nostrand Avenue?

Probably the guy and the one girl were in his bedroom. The other three girls were cleaning out the other bedroom. Seems pretty simple.
