• Art & Fun - Head to Jersey City on Friday for the Art House Summer Blowout, which will feature fun games like karaoke and Twister, summer fashions and baked goods. This event is from 8 p.m. to midnight so plan on staying awhile, but at $5 a ticket, who wouldn't?
• Learn How to Make Ice Cream - Saturday is delicious when you head to the Culinary Arts Institute of Hudson County Community College in Jersey City for the Fundamentals of Ice Cream, Sorbet and Gelato cooking class! The class is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and you can sign up online; you know you can't turn down the opportunity to learn how to make these delicious desserts!
• Art Festival in Staten Island - Looking to explore some art? Head to the Staten Island LUMEN Art Festival on Saturday where you won't be able to get enough of these amazing digital video and art installations and performances. This is an evening event beginning at 6 p.m. and running until midnight so be sure to plan ahead!
• International Movies in Town - Are you ready for some music? Head to Brooklyn for the BAMcinemaFest, an event featuring the best of the best from international movie festivals. If you're a huge movie buff or you just love the movie experience, this could be the event for you. Tickets are $13-$20 and can be bought online.
