A Hoboken man was arrested on Sunday around 3:45 a.m. at Newark and Hudson Streets after acting disorderly, police said.
Kimani Lawrence, 28, was involved in a verbal altercation with a group of unidentified men when police drove up around Newark and Hudson Streets, according to reports.
When police approached them, the group scattered, except Lawrence.
Lawrence, while he had his right hand in his pocket, then told the police officer "I got a gun," according to the report. The officers immediately got out of their cars, one had his weapon drawn, police said.
Police told Lawrence to lie on the ground while they searched for weapons. According to police, no weapons were found.
He was then taken to police headquarters and was cuffed to a bench in the holding cell. He allegedly started yelling that he didn’t do anything, police said. Lawrence then kicked the fingerpringing machine that was located next to the bench to the ground and tried to escape the cuffs, police said.
He began swinging his arms and tried to get up, police said. When officers tried to put the hand cuffs back, Lawrence allegedly bit the cop's middle finger, according to the report.
Lawrence was then cuffed to the bench with two pairs of hand cuffs, police said.
When searching Lawrence's pockets, police found a debit card that did not belong to him, according to reports.
Lawrence was charged with aggravated assault on a police officer, obstructing administration of law and resisting arrest, according to reports.

Bit a cop??? That deserves a billy club in the back of the legs. A little respect please Mr. Lawrence. And then you'd have his family pulling out his pictures from his first communion saying what an angel he is and how he's working hard to save money to go to community college and get his life back together. The debit card that belongs to someone else? I'm sure they will figure out a good story for that too.

You got it right. What happend to acting like a decent human being. The cops approached this bum,he keeps his hand In his pocket and says "I have a gun." Are you kidding me? If I was that police Mr. Lawrence would have ended up with a new opening in his head, right between the eyes.
Then all the sweet innocent pictures and stories of what a great kid this was. Give me a break. Wake up people.
