After almost two months, Hobokenites will be able to watch all new movies in their home town.
Since Sandy hit on October 29, the Clearview Cinemas in uptown Hoboken have been closed due to heavy flooding.
On Friday December 21, the theater will reopen.
The opening of the theater comes in the same week as the reopening of the Hoboken PATH station.
The uptown Bier Garten — which also sustained a lot of damage and is located about a block from the movie theater — has already been reopened since Sandy.

now if only we could cross the busy streets to get to the cinema without getting hit by a car. It is time for the city to fix those busy intersections with a better system. if you try to cross the street, cars don't see you at night when they are coming off the bridge from jersey city heights. suprised the owners of the cinema havent said anything to the city as i am sure it causes some pedestrians to not even bother going to the movies there....

We avoid the busy streets by walking down Grand or Adams Sts. It's very easy.

Crossing at the light in front of rite aide is best since its the only way to get back there with the construction.

johnozed....clearly you are not coming from the north/east part of town to get to the movie theatre...and we shouldn't have to take a detour just because the city hasnt made it safe to cross a certain street. that is ridiculous especially that they keep promoting for people to walk and not drive?
