Hoboken Police Charge Several with Driving Under the Influence

The separate incidents occurred over the long weekend.

Police made several drunk driving arrests over the last week, including one incident that allegedly occurred after a chase.

According to reports, there were at least four separate incidents of drunk driving. No one was hurt, police said.

Early Tuesday morning, a woman in a red 2007 Corolla swerved back and forth before hitting multiple parked cars, police said. The 21-year-old Jersey City resident also refused to take a breath test, police said.

The incident occurred around 2:20 a.m. in the area of 301 Park Ave. in Hoboken.

On Monday morning early, a 24-year-old Newark man tried to speed away from police officers, committing multiple traffic violations during the mini chase.Β

When police caught up with the driver on Observer Highway, he was told to get out of the vehicle, according to reports, and he received multiple summonses.

On Saturday morning around 4:40 a.m., a 35-year-old Jersey City man was arrested for driving under the influence at 13th Street and Willow Avenue, police said.

A few hours earlier, another 35-year-old was arrested for driving under the influence at Fourth and Hudson Streets, police said.
