Hoboken Related 'Occupy' Group Starts on Facebook

This is not your average "Occupy" protest.

For those who were disappointed that "Occupy Hoboken" never happened, a local Facebook group is calling for a very particular occupation.

A Facebook group—with accompanying Twitter account—by the name Occupy Hoboken Parking Utility was started on Tuesday afternoon by a local woman.

"Welcome angry citizens!" begins the description on the Facebook page. "It's time to take back our streets from the Hoboken Parking Utility and call for sane enforcement and fair policies that create parking spaces for residents and visitors alike."

The goal of the group is to attract more than 1,000 fans and take their grievances to the city council, the Hoboken Parking Utility and to Mayor Dawn Zimmer.
