Hoboken’s Own Rosewood Ghosts to Open Arts and Music Fest

RG's first appearance at the A&M Fest

The Hoboken-based post classic-rock band Rosewood Ghosts will perform on the main stage on Observer Highway at noon on Sunday, the opening act in this year's Arts and Music Fest.

On the band's website, they say they have created a unique genre. "Post Classic Rock: Music from the people who bought the records of the people who brought you classic rock."

The site describes the band's style: "They have forged a sound that evokes the spirit of classic bands like The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin & The Who, as well as contemporaries like Wilco, Pearl Jam & The Black Crowes, all while spawning a unique creative direction of its own."

"We are really excited to play the festival this year, especially this being our first show back after our recording hiatus," guitarist/vocalist Jamie DiTringo says. "We went into the studio to start recording last September and wrapped recording in March. In that time we also added a seventh member to the band, Eric Walden."

The band is comprised of DiTringo; Adam Weissman on keys and vocals; bassist Steve Brown; drummer Mat Teitelman; guitarist Saul Slotnick; lead vocalist Joe Montague; and lap-steel guitarist/vocalist Walden.

This is their first appearance in the Arts and Music Fest, though DiTringo, Montague, Weissman and Brown have performed at the event several years ago, with their former band, "Bill Owens Five."
