Kids Hunt for Eggs in Columbus Park
The Hoboken Family Alliance sponsors Easter fun every year.
The Hoboken Family Alliance held its Annual Spring Fling Egg Hunt in Columbus Park Saturday morning. Hundreds of parents and children attended the two hour event.
The children got to take pictures with the Easter bunny, run in bunny hop races, practice their soccer skills with the Super Soccer Stars, and of course, hunt for eggs. Props used to decorate the egg farm were made and donated by students from Hoboken High School.
According to Board Member Theresa Howard, the HFA rotated a fresh stream of eggs throughout the morning, and children were able to exchange however many eggs they picked up for a gift bag, ensuring that everyone went home with candy.

The children also had the chance to guess the number of jelly beans in a clear plastic container, and one boy and one girl, who each guessed correctly that there were more than 2,000 jelly beans, won bicycles donated by Freeholder Anthony Romano.
Girl Scouts from Troop 12402 of Hoboken sold almost 250 boxes of cookies during the egg hunt and will donate the proceeds to a charity for veterans.
