Man Found Unconscious At Starbucks After Heroin Use

Police Blotter

A West New York man was found unconscious just before 3 p.m. in the Washington Street Starbucks last Friday afternoon, according to police reports, with three bags of powder that should never be put into a venti, half-caf, soy, iced latte.

When the police got there, according to reports, Emergency Medical Technicians from the Hoboken Volunteer Ambulance Corps and the Jersey City Medical Center had already arrived to take care of 25-year-old Jean Pierre Lopez, from West New York.

After gaining consciousness, police said, Lopez admitted to having used heroin before passing out. In his book bag police officers found three small bags with a white substance—which turned out to be heroin—as well as drug paraphernalia, according to the police report on the matter.
