How can you possibly say that? I am willing to bet that you are a disgruntled city worker who now has to work for a living.

3rd lower of a lower tax levy, 1 year after saving HUMC, keeping over 1,000 jobs for Hoboken's largest employer and saving taxpayers a $75-85 million tax rise, 3 years after creating Corner Cars, providing $50,000 in revenue and creating over 700 parking spots, 2 years since the inauguration of the city wide HOP system,1 year after extending parking on outbound streets creating 850 new parking spots, 1 year after installing muni meters, creating new parking spots and a 30% increase in quarters that can't be stolen by a Parking felon and his mob partner, new and improved parks and 1 year from the Super Bowl with Hoboken as host city providing the biggest pay day for our merchants, just to name a few of the many positive things under Mayor Zimmer.

Scott -
Do you just make up stuff while you type? I know you dont double check the stuff you type.
700 new parking spots? $75-85MM? Another 850 parking spots!!!
And I think someone might want to fill Mike B in on the "fact" that Hoboken is the host city for the 2014 Super Bowl before he holds a press conference outlining all the official events that will be taking place in Manhattan.

Headlines for Hoboken's Mayor in the magaizine:
" You know those women who are insanely effective, always hitting their goals, accomplishing everything they say they will in life and career, and earning the universe’s respect" (accompanied by a picture and blurb about Mayor Zimmer and other insanely effective women).
Not the usual, another Hoboken elected official or top administrator arrested. I guess if your benchmark is Mayors being arrested, this is the third year of cluelessness.

The effectiveness and efficiency of Mayor Zimmer's tenure is measured in more in what has NOT been accomplished than what HAS been accomplished.
We did not elect a girl scout who would simply stay out of jail. We elected an official who many of us believed would work to move this city along.
Instead of progress we have seen stymied after stymied policy. A result of an unwillingness or incapability to promote cooperation. Her leadership has trickled down and poisoned our city government.

"Many of you know that I started my political career fighting for a park in Southwest Hoboken where I live. So I am particularly happy that in 2012 we will be making a down payment on that Southwest Park by acquiring a substantial piece of property using a $3 million county grant and a portion of the $20 million park bond approved by the City Council." - Mayor Zimmer at her 2012 State of The City Address

At Stevens Park, we’re looking to resurface the little league field, upgrade the playground, and install an indoor batting cage. Church Square Park, Mamma Johnson Field, and all our dog runs will all be upgraded this year." - Mayor Zimmer at her 2012 State of The City Address

Over 700 people have turned in their Hoboken permits to join Corner Cars (Hertz Connect). Those cars had to be parked somewhere, freeing up spots. Here's the link for the 850:

HUMC had $55 million in debt, add in interest and you are talking about $60 million. Plus once defunct HUMC would would have to be razed and an expensive environmental cleanup costing millions would have to be done. As for the Super Bowl:

When she campaigned for the office, Dawn promised at 25% tax decrease the first year of her term. 3 years into it taxes have gone down around 18% - factor in Sandy expenses and we can be assured our taxes will never again approach 2006/2007 levels. They will just keep going up, up, up.

Scott hasn't lived here in months. He cyber commutes to cheerlead on the mayor's flack force. ThisMeansWar's handle says it all - anyone who dares to not support everything this inexperienced and semi-inept administration is somehow affiliated with an "old guard/Beth Mason" evil conspiracy. When dealing with Dawn's surrogates and syncophants I am reminded of Thomas Paine's great simile, "To argue with a man who has renounced the use of reason is like giving medicine to the dead." Like the Tea Party branch of the GOP, they will not compromise, Dawn will lead blindly, not govern. The City Hoboken currently employs 21 different law firms - Dawn's regime is indeed a form of "reform", they have reformed the machine from an essentially blue collar job factory to become a white collar job factory. The only difference is the color of the collars.

Sadly as as most people in Hoboken now reject Beth Mason and her tactics she has little choice but to surround herself with negative people like John Kiem.

Given the old guard efforts to sabotage the city (hospital, garage, vote against paving and then complain about it, stealing the mayor's emails and providing to political opponents, stealing quarters than aiding in the cover, trying to give away the surplus, voting against bonding at every turn, voting against budgets without giving reasons, spreading lies and propoganda through midnight flyers and their yellow journalist news page, the Doyle appointment), why is there any reason to believe that there is any reasonable compromise here. We know from Mike Russo himself that compromise to him is "I do for you, you do for me," and that's no way our town should be treating the taxpayers.

The City is the defendent in the employee cases and we are on a winning streak. The City was the plantiff in the Rent Control case and won. The City is also the plantiff in the Monarch case and I believe you will be hard pressed to find anyone who objects to it. Here are some highlights. I welcome others to add to this.
RECENT WINS: Arrezzo, Adriani, Rent Control
RECENT WINS (pending appeal): Doyle
PENDING: Campbell, Maier, Alicea, Monarch
