Power has been restored in Hoboken, according to a spokesman from PSE&G, after Sunday night's power outage that left close to 2,000 Hoboken residents without power.
During Sunday night's heavy rain, a wire fell down, according to another PSE&G Spokesman, Deann Muzikar. Muzikar said that power was restored around 12:30 a.m., and that only the residents on Hudson Street were affected.
This followed a transformer explosion on 11th and Hudson Streets. The transformer likely burnt out.
The incident is still under investigation, Muzikar said.
