Public Invited to Community Meeting about Hoboken Terminal Redevelopment
The meeting will take place on Thursday night at 7 p.m. at the Elks Club.
For those Hobokenites who are interested in what's happening at the Hoboken Terminal, there will be an information session at the Elks Club on at 7 p.m. Thursday night.
In the wake of Hurricane Sandy, Developer LCOR and New Jersey Transit have reevaluated the project to see how it can help "protect Hoboken from future weather-related events," according to the announcement.
On Thursday night, those findings will be highligted. According to LCOR, "the purpose of this community meeting is to discuss how, at no cost to the city, the Hoboken Terminal and Rail Yard project can aid the city in weather related improvements and to seek additional public feedback to supplement responses from previous outreach efforts."

How about just doing something to protect the hundreds of millions of dollars of equipment you have there and the rest of your own facilities? We don't need your help to protect Hoboken b/c if you protect your own property, that automatically creates a barrier b/w Hoboken and most of the areas the flooding can come in from on the south end of town.
