Puppy Found Tied to Tree in Need of a Home

Authorities are looking for an adoptive home for a puppy found tied to a tree at the corner of 2nd and Hudson streets Sunday.

UPDATE: Do not call the Hoboken police looking for the pup. The police no longer have her. For the time being she is staying with a woman in Bayonne who rescues and fosters dogs. If you're interested in adopting Shakti, email Hope Koturo at hkoturo@hotmail.com.

Police, who had not received any reports of a missing dog, eventually picked her up and brought her back to the station.
