Former Cake Boss Cast Member Sentenced To Prison For Sex Assault
Remy Gonzalez was arrested and charged with sexual assault in 2010.
HOBOKEN, NJ -- Remy Gonzalez, a former Cake Boss cast member, has been sentenced to nine years in prison on sexual assault charges, according to the Star Ledger. Gonzalez, who is Buddy Valastro's former brother-in-law, is a Mexican native and will face deportation after his sentence, the paper also reported.
Gonzales was arrested in August 2010 and charged with two counts of sexual assault, two counts of aggravated criminal sexual contact and two counts of criminal sexual contact. In September 2010, Gonzalez's charges were forwarded to a grand jury.
According to an affidavit filed by Detective Dan Haber of the Morris County Prosecutor's Office Sex Crimes Unit in 2010, the charges against Gonzales are in response to alleged acts of sexual assault on a 13-to-16-year-old child occuring in East Hanover and Florham Park on various dates between September 2009 and March 9, 2010.

Pretty bad to molest a 13 year old child, multiple times. it is worse when you are considered a guest in this country. He should serve the entire 9 years (in my opinion too short a stay) and then send his butkis back wherever he came from.

Should have been castrated like a male dog that he is. He won't serve anything near his nine years and so what that he'll be deported ..... he'll be right back. I'm glad his wife divorced him...I worked for a company who had to deport about 50 workers b/c they were here illegally ... they were back within a month and INS never checked up on them.

People like him are NOT kept separate in Federal prisons and almost all non US citizens that are felons are deported - be it France, Mexico or most any other country.
Thank you brave Vets from me too - my dad was Air Force in WWII.

As an American born citizen, I am a bit ashamed of our judicial system. This man will be back over here as they all do...As a Christian I believe "an eye for an eye". And I know that God's vengance will be much, much more than what man can do here on earth. My aching heart goes out to this child, and my prayers go up. I am sure that his ex-wife is horrified to find out she didn't marry a man, but that she married a demon...my prayers go up for her as well. With my husband being a disabled veteran, we are always proud to be American. Something really does need to be done to change how our judicial system is set up. Our courts used to be to protect the innocent victims, but it seems that they are now here to assist the criminal.
