Hoboken Pet Parade Delayed by a Week
The Hoboken Historical Museum is holding its annual pet parade, on Sunday Oct. 14.

On Sunday Oct. 14, it's time to dress up your pets.
On that day, the Hoboken Historical Museum will host its eighth annual pet parade and fair. Unlike other years, the event has moved uptown to the Maxwell Place Pier at Twelfth Street.
First, at noon, the pet fair will offer a chance to meet local pet service providers one-on-one, offering basic pet grooming advice, tips on pet health and information on responsible pet ownership from the American Kennel Club, and other activities.
There will be treats for pets and their people, thanks to a mobile dog treat vendor, plus a hot dog vendor and goodies from downtown bakery, Choc-O-Pain.
The pet fair will ends at 4 p.m.
At 1 p.m., it's time to strut your pet along the waterfront in its best outfit. The parade will proceed down the walkway around Maxwell Place Park and return to the Pier for judging in categories such as best costume, best trick, best group costume, best pet/owner look alike, judges’ choice Best in Show—Canine, and Judges’ Choice Best in Show—Non-Canine. The event is free.
The Hoboken Historical is also still looking for volunteers to help out on that day.

And $25 Microchip clinic going all day at the fair, offered by the NJSPCA. If your dog isn't chipped, this is the perfect opportunity!!!

This year the Hoboken Pet Fair will also feature a Microchip Clinic where you can get your pet chipped for only $25, a great opportunity! The chips will be inserted by a vet, just takes a couple of minutes and is painless. Microchip is the best way to locate and identify missing pets, take advantage of the event if your pet isn't already permanently identified. Thanks to the NJSPCA for bringing the clinic to the event.
