VOTE: Best Locket Inscriptions; Win Tickets to See ANNIE on Broadway

“ANNIE’s LOCKET OF LOVE” Sweepstakes asks Patch communities in North Jersey: If you could give a locket to someone you care about deeply, what would the inscription say?

The iconic story of ANNIE is about hope, optimism and love, and there is no better symbol of that than the locket Annie wears around her neck, a token of love from her biological parents to help her get through tough times.

As ANNIE returns to Broadway’s Palace Theatre, organizers would like to give Patch community members in New Jersey a chance to express that same kind hope by creating their own locket inscriptions, with the best entries scoring a chance to win two tickets to see the show.

Below are the Top 10 inscriptions we picked from the dozens we got across North Jersey. While each of them is very touching, only one can win. Now it's your turn to pick which inscription is the best. Voting will stay open through Feb. 21.

Tickets can be redeemed at any Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evening performance of ANNIE from Feb. 21 to March 14.

More details about the contest are attached.

  • VOTE: Which ANNIE Locket Inscription is the Best?

(Voting has been closed for this question)
    • Blatrip -I would inscribe a locket for my 7 year old daughter with the words "You are my perfect angel, may all of your dreams come true"

    • Beth Sparozic -In my family we always end phone conversations with "I Love You More" and then we would close the cell phone (it was a flip phone). Now since we all have iphones we end the conversation with "I Love You More - Click" because we cant close the phone and make the noise. When I see my kids on Facebook and I don't want to embarrass them I just type "CLICK" and they know what it means and they do the same. I also do this on my younger ones lunch bag at school under her name so she knows and I don't embarrass her at school). So if I had given my daughters a locket it would simply say "CLICK"

    • Danielle Sheehan - I would give a locket to my almost 4 year old daughter. It would have the words from Sea of Love which is a song I used to sing to her when she was a baby: "Do you remember when we met, that's the day I knew you were my pet. I want to tell you how much I love you."
        29 (40%)
    • Danyel Competiello - I actually just inscribed something for my daughters special 10th birthday....it comes from You Are So Beautiful To Me, a song I've sang to her since she was born. The inscription reads "You're everything I've hoped for & everything I need".
