What Issues Should be Discussed in the State of the City? [POLL]

What do you want to hear?

Mayor Dawn Zimmer is expected to address the impact of Sandy on Hoboken during her third state of the city address on Wednesday night.

While last year, the mayor announced "the year of parks," this year her address is expected to address Hoboken's recovery efforts, and how to look forward to a future in which the city will be able to handle major weather events.

In 2011, when the mayor held her first state of the city, she focused on finances and introduced a $20 million bond to acquire park land.

We want to hear from you, what do you want to hear in Zimmer's address?

1) Potholes - Harrison Street is a disaster, particularly between 1st and Newark - I've gotten 2 flat tires in the last year
2) Business - The city makes it IMPOSSIBLE to open up a new business, between rent being ridiculously high for young entrepreneurs and the city over-regulating every little thing. I want to open up a type of business the city has never had before & that the state just endorsed as a huge growth sector, often considered manufacturing, and the city said there is only 1 block they'd allow it on. They added that they would not rezone another property and that they'd make me get 3 conditional uses on the existing zoning. Each had to be done separately and would take about 6 months each. That totals a year and a half that I'd have to pay rent and not be able to make a dime. "Open for Business" my (expletive).
3) The Park on Observer between Jax and Harrison. Where the heck are the 200+ cars in the parking lot going to go?
4) The traffic light on Jackson and Newark - why the heck would they put in the bike and parking lanes on an already dangerous street in anticipation of a light over a year away from installation???
5) Snow Removal - continually the biggest embarrassment of this city.

What is the city going to do about the bad drivers? I saw the same guy get a flat tire twice this year because he was driving too fast and didn't see the pothole.
