Welcome back, Patch Blogger!
Hobokenites responded happy but cautious to the news of Osama Bin Laden's death on Monday. Video by David Jolkovski, interview by Claire Moses.
In honor of Earth Day, Patch is asking Hobokenites in the street how we can make the Mile Square a little greener. Over the past week, Hobokenites have been planting trees and planting gardens. This week, You Said It asks people in the street how we can help the environment further. Some of the answers include composting, better education about recycling and switching from plastic to canvas shopping bags. If you have any ideas on how to make Hoboken more environmentally sound, please comment below. Video by David Jolkovski, interview by Claire Moses.
Trees are blooming. Winter coats are being stuffed back into closets. Outdoor cafes have been set up. You guessed it: Spring has arrived in Hoboken! This week's You Said It—a weekly question asked to a random sampling of Hobokenites in the street—focuses on what you like most about spring in Hoboken. Check out the attached video, or comment below if you want to chime in. Video by David Jolkovski, Interview by Claire Moses
Every Week, You Said It asks Hobokenites one question. This week, with city-wide council elections upon us on May 10, we're asking you what you would like the politicians to talk about.
Every week, Patch asks Hobokenites in on the street a question. This week, we ventured uptown (to the corner of Washington and Ninth Streets) and to the Western side of town and asked residents how safe they feel in Hoboken.
The City Council recently approved a $20 million bond to obtain more parkland. This week, Patch is asking people in the streets of Hoboken if they would like to see a new park, where they'd like it to be and what it should look like.
Patch asks the question: what would you improve about Hoboken? Stay tuned for the daily "You Said It" segment, and send in any burning questions you'd like to see residents answer.
