Aikido

Aikido - The Way of Harmony - is a graceful, non-violent (no striking) martial art, appropriate for male and female adults of all ages, regardless of skill level. Improve your phyisical fitness and learn useful self-defense skills.

Sensei Michael McNally (Godan or 5th degree Black Belt) is the founder and Chief Instructor of Hoboken Aikikai. He is a Shidoin (USAF Certified Senior Instructor) and teaches at the highly regarded New York Aikikai in New York City where he began his training in 1981 under Shihans Yoshimitsu Yamada and Seichi Sugano, both 8th degree Black Belts and direct students of O Sensei, the founder of Aikido. Yamada Sensei is president of the United States Aikido Federation (USAF) and one of the most respected and influential teachers of Aikido in the world today.

In early 2007 Michael McNally opened Hoboken Aikikai. Please join us for a fun hour and a good work out. Visitors and students from other Aikido dojos are welcome.

Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 7 P.M. to 8 P.M.

Monroe Center for the Arts is a multi-disciplinary mixed-use space that tends to the needs of artists, designers and entrepreneurs in search of studio or retail space. Presently, the businesses at the center include printers, floral designers, architects, puppet makers, interior designers, music and dance instructors and  pilates studios. The center also holds open studio hours, gallery exhibitions, film screenings, educational workshops and more on a year-round basis.
