Being for the Benefit of Mrs. Maby: If you’re a fan of Joe Jackson, Natalie Merchant, Ian Hunter, Marshall Crenshaw, Garland Jeffreys, Freedy Johnston, They Might Be Giants, or Joan Baez (to name just a few) then chances are you already know who bassist Graham Maby is and why his talent has been so sought after and highly regarded among his musical peers these past three decades. For the past couple years, Graham’s wife Mary Beth has been battling cancer and medical bills. Her friends and Graham's have come together to stage several shows in the coming weeks. Any and all proceeds will go directly toward medical, insurance, and other costs related to MB's illness.

More About Maxwell's
Open since 1978, Maxwell's has a rich history as a music venue and entertainment spot in Hoboken. Well-known bands, most notably Yo La Tengo, got their start here, and surprise visits from big names like Sonic Youth are a common occurrence. There are still live performances every evening in the back room, which has layered standing bleachers that give a good view of the bands. The ambience at Maxwell's is comfortable and the service is friendly, making this as good a place to stop by for a drink as it is to take in the latest indie act. Tickets may be ordered online, and on-site private parties (lounge or back room) can be accommodated with advance notice.
