Thursday in Hoboken: Disaster Preparedness Meeting, Expectant Mothers Meet-Up

*The city's Office of Emergency Management and Community Emergency Response Team will offer its second in a series of "Hoboken Ready" meetings Thursday to educate residents on better preparing for emergencies. The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at the Multi-Service Center, located at 124 Grand St.

*Mommies 24/7 invites expectant mothers to come out to City Bistro, located at 56 14th Street, Thursday at 7 p.m. for a social with food, fun and "mocktails" where they can meet other expectant moms and share their pregnancy excitement and fears. *Thursday is the last day to buy pre-sale tickets for the Hoboken Family Alliance Gala, ”Around the World in One Square Mile." The tasting event will be held next Thursday, September 19, from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Kolo Klub, located at 1422 Grand St. Pre-sale tickets can be purchased here through the end of today and for $100 after today and at the door.

*Residents can grab fresh produce at the Hoboken Uptown Farmers’ Market, which is open every Thursday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the corner of 13th and Hudson streets.
