Wednesday in Hoboken: HCS Reopens, Sandy Doc Screening

*Hoboken Charter School will mark its reopening Wednesday, more than 13 months after a fire seriously damaged the school's building, with a ribbon cutting ceremony and building tour at 11:30 a.m.

*A 20-minute documentary that details the efforts government officials, advocacy groups and civic-minded citizens made last year to get voters to the polls in the wake of Superstorm Sandy will be screened at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Hoboken Historical Museum and followed by a panel discussion.

*Former CIA director and Deputy Secretary of Defense John Deutch, who is now an institute professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, will speak Wednesday at Stevens Institute about mitigating the adverse environmental impacts of hydraulic fracture or "fracking." The lecture will be held in the DeBaun Auditorium, 500 Hudson St., at 4 p.m. Visit www.stevens.edu/lecture to register.
