'And the Winner is…Shannon Rose Irish Pub' Honored for Best Signature Entree´

Clifton, NJ – June 19, 2013 – The Shannon Rose Irish Pubs, an original concept restaurant of Doherty Enterprises, Inc., with over 300 employees at three NJ locations, recently participated in the First Annual “Cooking for a Cure” Competition. Professional and amateur chefs alike joined together to support the fight for a cancer-free world. They cooked up a storm and gathered at the Clifton Moose Lodge in Clifton, NJ, to engage in American Cancer Society Relay Life event.

 

The event sponsors, “The Party Starts Here of Power of One Christian Coaching” and the Outreach Ministries of Clifton, invited local guest judges to cast their votes after sampling the prepared delicious entree´s and desserts. The sponsor’s vision was to identify the best signature entrée and best dessert in Clifton.  The Shannon Rose Irish Pub of Clifton was awarded Best Signature Entree´ in both the first and second categories, for their Bar-B-Que (BBQ) Pulled-Pork Sliders and Corned Beef Cabbage Spring Rolls.

General Manager Carolyn Blagojevic, of The Shannon Rose Irish Pub in Clifton commented, “We were delighted to participate in this friendly competition for such a worthwhile cause.” He added, “It is always an honor to be recognized by one’s peers and this award is especially meaningful because our goal is always to ‘wow’ our community – we want to be the best food service company in the tri-state area.” Ms. Blagojevic shared, “Edward Doherty, our chairman and chief executive officer (CEO) of Doherty Enterprises, Inc., is well-known for his popular vision: ‘The most important thing for business success is Wow every guest. Wow your people and Wow the community.’

Doherty Enterprises opened its first original concept, The Shannon Rose Irish Pub, in March 2007. An authentic Irish pub that was created to bring a little “Dublin” to New Jersey, its first location was in Clifton, NJ. The Pub has seating for approximately 300 people in four bars and five pub-style dining rooms. The Shannon Rose concept was expanded with the opening of a second Pub in Woodbridge, NJ, in June, 2009, and a third Pub in Ramsey, NJ, in January, 2012.
