Barnabas Health Medical Group Welcomes Addition of Dr. Mark S. Waxman

Barnabas Health Medical Group recently announced the addition of Mark S. Waxman, MD, a board-certified internal medicine physician and gastroenterologist, to its network of primary and specialty care physicians. Dr. Waxman has a special interest in treating conditions and diseases such as irritable bowel syndrome, GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease), celiac sprue and colon cancer. He is affiliated with Clara Maass Medical Center and is available to see patients at his office in North Arlington, N.J.

Prior to joining Barnabas Health Medical Group, Dr. Waxman served as an internist and gastroenterologist in private practice for more than 30 years.

Dr. Waxman earned a medical degree from S.U.N.Y. Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. He completed a residency in internal medicine at University of Medicine and Dentistry (UMDNJ) at Rutgers in New Brunswick, N.J. and a fellowship in gastroenterology at Georgetown University Medical Center and Veterans Affairs Medical Center affiliated hospitals in Washington, D.C.  Dr. Waxman is a member of the American Medical Association and the American Gastroenterological Society.
