Elizabeth Barry, Woman of the Year in Business Honored by NJ General Assembly Joint Resolution

JOINT LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION

By Senator Stack and Assemblymen Garcia and Mukherji

WHEREAS,  Elizabeth Barry, who is highly esteemed within the Garden State community, is being honored and saluted during a special event on April 22, 2014, in recognition of her remarkable record of professional achievement and selfless community service; and,

WHEREAS,  Elizabeth Barry serves with distinction as the founder and President of Elizabeth Barry and Associates, and the depth of her knowledge and the breadth of her experience have immeasurably enhanced the success and acclaim of this renowned strategic marketing firm and full-service ad agency; and,

WHEREAS,  Elizabeth Barry has also shared her wisdom and expertise as the curator of TEDxHoboken and as Chair of the Women in Business Council for the Hoboken Chamber of Commerce, and she has expanded her firm with the website, www.artistpreneurs.com, as well as the site’s weekly email-newsletter, The Muse; and,

WHEREAS,  An array of honors has borne witness to the high regard in which she has been held by her peers and colleagues, such as the inaugural Hoboken Woman in Business of the Year Award; and,

WHEREAS,  Elizabeth Barry’s uncommon level of public-spiritedness has been evidenced through her active involvement in many civic and professional organizations; and,

WHEREAS,  The people of the State of New Jersey are genuinely indebted to hard-working and concerned citizens, personified by Elizabeth Barry, whose time and energies are devoted to improving the effectiveness of their communities and the quality of life for their neighbors; and,

WHEREAS,  It is both proper and fitting for this Legislature to pause in its deliberations to praise the career of Elizabeth Barry, and to commend her as a woman of outstanding character and exceptional determination; now, therefore,

Be It Resolved by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:

That this Legislature hereby honors and salutes Elizabeth Barry, joins in paying tribute to her meritorious history of service, leadership, and commitment, and extends best wishes for continued success in all her future endeavors; and,

Be It Further Resolved, That a duly authenticated copy of this resolution, signed by the Senate President and the Assembly Speaker and attested by the Senate Secretary and the Assembly Clerk, be transmitted to Elizabeth Barry.
