GARCIA AND READ ACROSS AMERICA

Essential to the intellect and imagination, reading will send you on a journey of adventure and discovery. Read Across America promotes this journey of reading for children of all ages. Schools, Libraries and community centers across the United States participate, by bringing people together to read. The goal is to instill the love of reading.

“Reading is essential in opening up avenues of wonder and creativity that will impact all our lives. We must do everything possible to foster reading skills for our children”, said Garcia.

Pictured on the attached, is Assemblyman Carmelo G. Garcia of the 33rd Legislative District, who last week conducted a reading session with the students at the Alfred Zampella School in Jersey City, while reading the Dr. Seuss’ classic The Lorax, a story about the enduring power of hope.
