100 Grace Community Church Volunteers Spruce Up Jersey City

Participants cleaned up local parks, worked on the kayaks at Liberty State Park and helped at a national historic landmark.

More than 100 volunteers from Grace Community Church participated last weekend in 1Day Jersey City.

Participants spruced up and painted at local parks, helped get the kayaks at Liberty State Park up and running, did some grounds keeping at a national historic landmark and helped to organize and cleanup at a local animal shelter.

“We were blown away by how many people came out to volunteer and impact local organizations,” said Wayne Burton, Hamilton park location leader at Hoboken Grace. “Hoboken Grace looks for opportunities to serve and give back to the community of Jersey City and we were able to do that in a big way today.”
