Hoboken 9/11 Remembrance Service, Blood Drive Set for Wednesday

Hoboken remembers the victims of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on Wednesday at Pier A Park.

The city of Hoboken will pay tribute Wednesday to the 57 residents who lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001, in the World Trade Center attacks with an Interfaith Memorial Service at Pier A Park.

The service, which will be held on the pier's southeast corner at the site of a makeshift Sept. 11 memorial, begins at 6:30 p.m. All are invited to attend.

Also on Wednesday, New Jersey Blood Services will hold an all-day 9/11 memorial blood drive from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Hoboken Police Department.

Every donor receives a t-shirt, a $10 coupon for Houlihan's and is entered into a drawing for a pair of Super Bowl tickets.

For more information on the blood drive, email SLynch@nybloodcenter.org or call 1-800-933-BLOOD.
