Hoboken Schools Closed Wednesday Due to Snowstorm

Property owners reminded to clear snow within six hours after the storm has ended.

Hoboken schools are closed Wednesday due to the snowstorm that blanketed the region with about a foot of snow.

As snow piled up Tuesday, temperatures steadily dropped in Hoboken.

About a foot of snow was expected by Wednesday morning with temperatures struggling to get into the teens, according to the National Weather Service.

Hoboken Public Schools remained in session Tuesday, but after-school activities were canceled and the Board of Education postponed its meeting due to the storm.

A Nixle alert released Monday reminded property owners to clear all sidewalks near the property as well as wheelchair ramps and curb cuts within six hours after the completion of the storm.
