Hoboken's Guitar Bar Aims for World Music Record

Music store is asking for anyone with a string instrument to participate in world record attempt Thursday night at Sinatra Park.

Hoboken's Guitar Bar is looking to set a world record Thursday at Sinatra Park for the most people playing one song at the same time.

Hundreds of local musicians participated last year in a group performance of Bob Dylan's "Knockin' on Heaven's Door" in an attempt to break the world record.

The Guitar Bar, Hoboken's long-standing music store, is asking for anyone with a acoustic guitar, mandolin, ukulele or any other acoustic string instrument to come out Thursday night for another attempt at the world record.

The event begins at 7 p.m., admission is free and seating is provided.

The set list will once again begin with "Knockin' on Heaven's Door" and will be followed by a full set of easy, popular songs that even beginners can play.
