Snow Route Restrictions Lifted, Parking Meters Suspended Through Monday

Vehicles can also be parked at municipal garages for a discounted rate until 8 p.m. Sunday.

The parking ban on the snow routes was lifted Friday morning and parking meters remain suspended citywide through Monday.

Vehicles can again be parked on 3rd, 4th, 5th, 9th and 13th streets as well as Willow Avenue and Washington Street, according to a Nixle alert released Friday morning.

Vehicles can also be parked at the municipal garages for a discounted rate of $5 per day through 8 p.m. Sunday.

Extra seasonal employees were brought in Friday to help clear corners of snow and slush, according to the Nixle alert.

"Residents and property owners are asked to help with keeping gutters clear so that melting snow can properly drain at corners," according to the alert.

City offices are closed Monday for Presidents Day and street cleaning enforcement will resume Tuesday to clear snow from the parking lanes, the alert said.
