Buddy looks into buying a baby hot tub. Lisa disagrees. Buddy also wants the nursery to have a safari theme. Lisa doesn't like that idea either. They also talk about who to pick for the godparents. Lisa says all of Buddy's suggestions are great, and wants Buddy to choose. He says that will be a difficult decision.

Back at the bakery, Buddy is preparing a surprise cake for Lisa's baby shower. He wants it to replicate the nursery.

The team gets started making the cake. Buddy pipes out some detailed scroll work on the nursery furniture pieces.

We then see Buddy's sister Grace ask him about the godparents. Buddy says he hasn't decided yet.

“What's there to figure out?” Grace asks, hint hint. Grace says Mary also wants the job. We then see the sisters politicking around the bakery.

At home Buddy is constructing playpens and strollers. The kids joke about his building skills. “I'm a baker, not a mechanical engineer,” he says.

Buddy says he and Lisa are going to have a drawing to pick the godparents. Lisa and Buddy agree to tell the winners later during dinner.

At the house we see Lisa talking with an interior designer about the nursery. Then Buddy walks in with the Carlo's painters and says they'll paint a mural on the nursery wall.

Lisa and Buddy have a debate in front of everyone. Buddy wants a safari, but Lisa says because they won't know the baby's gender until it's born, they should stick with a neutral design. They compromise on painting a very large tree.

Back at Carlo's the bakers joke about how Buddy hates changing diapers, so they're going to make him a special cake. "I think we're going to bust his chops a little bit and make some diapers," brother -in-law Joey says.

Then we see the family at a restaurant to learn who the godparents will be. Buddy pulls out the ticket, and the winners are Joey and Grace. “It was destiny!” Grace squeals.

Later, Buddy is finishing the baby shower cake. He also wants to build a second cake on top of the nursery ceiling with angels floating overhead and looking down on the baby. After some difficulty, Buddy figures out how to get an authentic look.

"That's how you make heaven, baby!" he says.

The team loves it. Buddy says he's happy with the details. The family then gathers for the baby shower.

Buddy and Mauro bring out the nursery cake. The family loves it too.

"This is the best cake you've ever made," Lisa tells Buddy.

Then, it's Valentine's day. The bakery is very busy. Mauro and Joey get flowers for their wives. Grace is working the counter when she gets a call from Buddy: Lisa's in labor.

Then we see Buddy and Lisa at the hospital. Grace and Madeline make their way over there, roses in hand.

Lisa is in the delivery room. The doctors are preparing. Buddy is going to cut the cord.

Lisa is pushing. Buddy is filming and counting along while Lisa pushes.

Then, one more push, and there's the baby. It's a boy! Buddy immediately weeps.

“There's nothing better for me than watching my child being born,” he says.

Buddy then snips the umbilical cord. He's a little squeamish. But he does it, and the nurses clean up Baby Carlo, while Buddy looks on and Lisa rests.

Buddy then goes to the waiting room to tell everyone. He yells, "It's a boy!" and everyone screams with joy. Madeline calls her husband Mauro and everyone else left at the bakery.

The family asks for the baby's name and Buddy says he'll be Carlo Salvatore, named both for the bakery and for , Buddy's late coworker and mentor who passed away earlier this year.

Buddy leads the kids, and then the rest of the family to see Lisa and the baby.

Two days later, Grace narrates that the very first place the Valastro family takes its newborn kids after leaving the hospital is the bakery.

While there, Mauro surprises Buddy with the diaper cake. This time Buddy is the one who gets to say he loves it.
