Carlo's Cakes Make Runway Debut During New York City Fashion Week

During a fashion show for Isaac Mizrahi's Fall 2011 collection.

Buddy Valastro’s cakes are not only delicious. They’re fashionable.

Fashion Designer Isaac Mizrahi was surprised during his fashion show on Thursday, when models came out carrying Carlo’s Bakery designer cakes. The designer introduced his Fall 2011 collection during New York City’s fashion week.

The models also walked down the runway with poodles.

A press release about the event stated, "Isaac’s inspiration for his new collection was “poodles and cakes” so apartnership with the seven gorgeous cakes to mimic the vivid textures and colors ofthe dresses. Guests were treated to a slice of cake post show."

Of course, the fashionable cake making will be aired in one of the new episodes of Cake Boss. Izaac Mizrahi will be selling the latest line in his Manhattan Upper East Side storefront starting in September, according to a press release.
