Craft Beer and Food Fest Benefits Shelter Animals

Beer lovers can indulge Saturday at the Hoboken Elks Club, which will be hosting a craft beer and food festival to support the Liberty Humane Society.

Sample seasonal brews and local food at the Liberty Humane Society's Craft Beer Festival Fundraiser this Saturday at the Hoboken Elks Club.

For $30, guests can enjoy 12 different fall-themed craft beers, chow down on food from Hoboken and Jersey City restaurants, and play games for cash and prizes.

Beer fest attendees are also invited to show off their baking chops by entering a homemade pie contest judged by Chef Anthony Pino of Bin 13 and Anthony David's.

The festival's proceeds benefit homeless dogs and cats from Hoboken and Jersey City that are being sheltered at the Liberty Humane Society.

Guests can purchase tickets in advance at the ticket page on the Liberty Humane Society website or buy them at the door on Saturday. The event begins at 1 p.m.
