Independent DIY-Themed Arts Festival Returns to Hoboken

Independent arts festival returns to Hoboken's Monroe Arts Center for fourth year.

Digable, a free independent arts festival that combines interactive art and live musical entertainment on three stages, returns to the Monroe Center for the Arts this weekend.

The festival, which features works and performances by more than 100 artists, is employing a "Do It Yourself" theme this year by involving participating artists in the festival's development process.

“This is a very exciting time in the festival’s development,” Digable founder and creative director Roland Ramos said. “This year is all about DIY; Do it Yourself. This is a great ethos for the 2013 festival as we would like the populace to know that anyone can create a festival just like this, and we welcome collaboration, with the aim of bringing arts festivals onto the global stage.”

Digable runs from noon to 6 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. For more information, visit www.digablearts.com.
