Exhibition: "Surveying the World: Keuffel & Esser + Hoboken, 1870 - 1968

Stop by and visit this fascinating hands-on exhibition of engineering tools made and sold by Keuffel & Esser, based in Hoboken from 1870 to 1968. A familiar name to students who learned to use slide rules or drafting systems, K&E also made the instruments used by surveyors, explorers and builders to create the Brooklyn Bridge and reach the North Pole. For nearly 50 years, Hoboken's K&E factory in the "Clock Tower" building at 3rd & Adams St. also housed a spider ranch to create the filaments used in periscopes.
