Go, Dog. Go!

Mile Square Theatre Presents P.D. Eastman’s
Go, Dog. Go!

This September, Mile Square Theatre continues its tradition of producing quality theatre for young people by staging P.D Eastman’s popular children’s book “Go, Dog. Go!” in fast-moving comical adaptation by Steven Dietz and Allison Gregory, with music by Michael Koerner.

Big dog, little dog. Dogs of all shapes, sizes, and colors will fill the stage in Mile Square Theatre’s lively family production of Eastman’s timeless classic. “Go, Dog. Go!” is a children’s physical comedy with music that will delight audiences of all ages and will bring to life Eastman’s picture book with the kind of theatrical invention for which MST’s children’s productions are known.

“Go, Dog. Go!” is the MST’s production for young audiences of the 2012 season. ”’Go, Dog. Go!’ is our third children’s show,” say Chris O’Connor, MST’s Artistic Director. “Every year, we dedicate a mainstage slot to a play for kids. Last year’s “The Garden of Rikki Tikki Tavi” was a tremendous success. The kids loved it, and the adults who accompanied them were delighted, too. We feel it’s important to offer quality theatre to young people. They gain an appreciation for theatre at a young age, and it’s such a great experience to go to the theatre as a family. We are told constantly how kids who saw ‘The Garden of Rikki Tikki Tavi’ over a year ago are still talking about it. We think “Go, Dog. Go!” will make that kind of impression, too.”
