All ticket sales and proceeds generated by the auction will go towards the Hudson Outreach Program, HOP for Dance. A short reception will be held before and after the performance, including a silent auction and bake sale.

This is an especially meaningful milestone for the Staff and Students of Hudson Dance and Movement as it is their first professional performance of “The Nutcracker.” Members of the Vancouver Junior Professional Company have been hand selected to dance alongside HDM students in memorable roles such as The Sugar Plum Fairy and the Kissing Doll.

In addition to being a milestone performance for HDM, “The Nutcracker” also marks the first Fundraiser for HOP for Dance. HOP for dance is an outreach program that uses dance to focus on educating, engaging, and inspiring young adults of the surrounding communities, schools, and various organizations that otherwise would not have the means of ability to join a typical dance program. HOP for Dance has awarded students over $15,000 in scholarships in 2011 alone and has previously worked with the 4th Grade Class of The Connors School of Hoboken.
