Newport Beach Party

About the Event: Celebrate the best of summer with a local food festival at the Hudson River’s only urban beach! Signature dishes by some of the area’s top-rated Chefs will be featured, highlighting cuisine found only at restaurants in Jersey City’s, Newport neighborhood. Drinks and signature cocktails will also be available from select restaurants.

 

Newport is home to 14 restaurants, each catering to a different world taste, including new American fare at Skylark on the Hudson; Asian drinks, desserts and appetizers at Babo Teahouse; specialty Indian cuisine at Raaz; authentic Mexican at Boca Grande; and Italian classics at Michael Anthony’s.

More Details: All ages are invited to attend Newport’s Beach Party and admission is free. The Beach Party takes place at Newport Green, a 4.25-acre park featuring first urban beach on the Hudson River, which was unveiled this spring by Governor Chris Christie.

Newport Green also features the area’s only playground with an interactive water park, four different jungle gyms and a first-of-its-kind, rope-webbed climbing dome. There is access to  free WiFi, plus an outdoor Ping-Pong table, a 30,000-SF open playing field and an authentic boardwalk, connecting to the Hudson River Waterfront Walkway, which links Newport directly to Hoboken.

 

Transportation: Minutes from Manhattan, Newport is the first stop outside of the city via the PATH train and easily accessible by bus or car using the Holland Tunnel.
