Kenyan Art on Display in Hoboken
The art project is part of the Hoboken Charter School Ubuntu Project.
A new exhibit in uptown Hoboken will display the art by Hoboken Charter School teacher S.K. Duff.
The exhibit features paintings by Duff, who is also a professional artist.
Duff spent time this summer working to build a health center in a village in Kenya via the Global Citizens Network, according to an announcement about the art exhibit.

In Kenya, he got to know the children at the Shiner’s Academy, a primary school for local orphans who have lost their parents to AIDS and Malaria. Via the Hoboken Charter School Ubuntu Project and H20 for Life, all of the proceeds from the sales of this art exhibition will help bring clean water and sanitation to the orphans of Odienya, according to the announcement.
The art exhibit runs from October 13 through October 21 at Gallery 1200. The opening of the exhibit was scheduled for Saturday at 4 p.m.
