The Mile Square Theatre company will open a two-week run of the musical "A Year With Frog and Toad," this Saturday at Monroe Theatrespace.
The musical, based on Arnold Lobel's Frog and Toad children's stories, follows two amphibious friends on a series of adventures in their natural woodland habitat.
“We’re thrilled to be producing this gentle musical comedy as our fourth annual production for young audiences,” MST artistic director Chris O’Connor said. “We’ve gained a reputation for producing all types of quality theater, and our family productions are extremely popular...It’s always a delight to see young families share the thrill of live theater, and 'Frog and Toad' will please audiences of all ages.”
The production features Andrew Baldwin and Matt Bittner as the main characters, accompanied by an ensemble headlined by Oren Korenblum, Mollie Downes and Rachel Darby. Karen Babcock is the show's director.
"A Year With Frog and Toad," runs from Oct. 5 through Oct. 20 on Saturdays at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m., and Sundays at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Tickets are $22 for adults and $12 for children and seniors, and can be purchased online at www.milesquaretheatre.org, at the Monroe Theatrespace box office, or by calling (201) 683-7014 for reservations.
