Old-West Twist on Shakespeare Showing at Jersey City and Harsimus Cemetery

The play also features live, on-stage goats that guests may interact with after the performance.

The Hudson Shakespeare Company invites the community enjoy a classic comedy with an Old-West edge in the company of family, friends and -- ummm -- goats.

The company is returning for its second summer in a row to deliver Shakespeare to Jersey City with its production of "Cymbeline" taking place Saturday at 7 p.m. at The Historic Jersey City and Harsimus Cemetery, located at 435 Newark Avenue in Jersey City.

This tale of fairytale romance, princesses and harsh stepmothers is retold with 1880s America as its backdrop, combining romance and tragedy from Shakespeare's later works.

The location features live, on-stage goats that guests may visit at the petting zoo following the performance.

There is a suggested donation of $10 as this will be a benefit show.
