St. Ann's Feast To Come Back To Hoboken

It's almost time for Hoboken's annual St. Ann's feast. More information below, and to follow. 

St. Ann's Festival, for 100 years the Mile-Square city's pre-eminent Italian feast, begins on Wednesday, July 21 and continues for six consecutive days  and ends on Monday, July 26. The festival will be open from July 21 to July 23 from 6 to 11 p.m., July 24 and 25 from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. and July 26th, from noon to 11 p.m.

On Monday, July 26, the actual feast day of St. Ann, a special noontime Mass at St. Ann's Church will take place followed by the spectacular pageantry of the procession of the 600-pound statue of St. Ann through the streets of Hoboken, carried exclusively by her female devotees.

Throughout St. Ann's Italian Festival, thousands of expected visitors will enjoy headline entertainment which includes returning favorites The Nerds and Cristina Fontanelli, this year St. Ann's is proud to add to it's entertainment line up international, award winning tribute artist Ryan Pelton, who will perform Elvis Presley classics.

The nightly live entertainment begins at 8:15 p.m. at the stage directly across from St. Ann's Church. During the festival, attendees will be treated to homemade specialty Italian food from parishioners, including the famous zeppoles which secret recipe is faithfully guarded by the members of the St. Ann's Guild.

In 1984, President Reagan visited the festival for the sole purpose of trying this Italian treat quipping, "I heard about your zeppoles." The historic festival, rates as one of the '100 Top Events' for the year in North America by the American Bus Association and hailed "The Only and Only" by the New York Times and "An essential event of the summer" by The Star-Ledger.
